Ryan Lowe back in the Bury dugout for Grimsby clash

Manager Ryan Lowe returns to Bury’s dugout for the home clash with Grimsby after serving a two-game stadium ban for a foul-mouthed rant at anti-doping officials in February.

Shakers skipper Neil Danns misses the game as he is on international duty with Guyana.

Lowe made eight changes for Bury’s 2-1 Checkatrade Trophy defeat to Rochdale in midweek and is likely to revert to his strongest line-up.

Will Aimson returns to Sky Bet League One action after completing a suspension for the red card he picked up in the 2-1 defeat at Lincoln. The centre-back featured against Dale.

Grimsby are without Paul Dixon and Wes Thomas as they serve the final games of their bans.

Reece Hall-Johnson and Harry Cardwell remain on the sidelines, along with long-term absentee Elliot Whitehouse who misses out with a knee injury.

Loanee Elliot Embleton is on international duty with England Under-20s but fellow new arrival Ben Pringle is in contention.

Defender Danny Collins is making good progress in his recovery from a broken arm but is unlikely to feature this weekend.
