ARSENAL fans are furious with Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock after he joked he wanted to "rough up" Aaron Ramsey.
The Bluebirds boss made the gag after being told about comments from Wales manager Ryan Giggs.
Arsenal fans have hit back at Neil Warnock after he said he wanted to 'rough up' Aaron Ramsey
The Manchester United legend had said: "I will be wincing at every tackle.
"Doesn't help you are playing a Neil Warnock team."
Warnock quipped at his press conference. "I don't blame Ryan for being nervous. I hope we can rough [Ramsey] up."
But Gooners fans were left fuming.
Warnock was branded a 'caveman' by one Arsenal fan
One, geebirrrd, wrote: "Neil Warnock is a tit. Why say something like that before the game."
Fantastic Mr Fox added: "Why? why not try to play actual football, caveman tactics from a manager stuck in the actual stone age."
Another simply said: "Dinosaur."
Gavin Ross said: "If Ramsey suffers an injury he should sue Warnock.
"He's basically saying he's told his players to assault Ramsey. Out of order.
"F***ing thug."
However, a number of journalists who had been interviewing Warnock said the comment had been taken out of context and that it was clearly made tongue-in-cheek.
Warnock heaped praise on Ramsey in the same press conference.
"Every time I watch Wales and Arsenal, he just does everything, he's a complete player," Warnock said of the Cardiff graduate.
"He's as good as anyone in the Premier League for me."
