PSG toughed it out against Angers – Tuchel

Paris St Germain coach Thomas Tuchel admitted his Ligue 1 champions were forced to work hard for their 3-1 victory over Angers at Parc des Princes.
Edison Cavani, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar were on target but it was only in the second half that PSG were able to pull clear in the face of some resolute defending from the struggling visitors.
“It was still a difficult first half for us because we waited for our opponents,” Tuchel told reporters.
“They defended in 6-3-1 and it was very complicated because there was not much space and we did not find any players between the lines.
“We played too slowly to open spaces. In the second half, we played better, with more intensity, we found players between the lines – Kylian Mbappe, Ney and Angel Di Maria. It’s a deserved victory but it was difficult.”
