Stuart Findlay may miss out again when Kilmarnock face Hearts in the Ladbrokes Premiership on Saturday.
Defender Findlay is back in training after a head knock but is short of match fitness.
Adam Frizzell is working his way back from a knee injury while fellow midfielder Rory McKenzie is also still out with an ankle problem.
Hearts begin life without Kyle Lafferty after the striker completed his return to Rangers.
But new signing Jimmy Dunne could make his debut at Rugby Park after the defender signed on loan from Burnley earlier in the week.
Aaron Hughes misses the Ladbrokes Premiership fixture with a calf strain while Arnaud Djoum is looking to make his first-team return within the next fortnight after a long-term Achillies problem. Christophe Berra (hamstring) remains out for the foreseeable future alongside Jamie Brandon and Marcus Godinho (both knee).
