Burnley vs Watford - Vydra still waiting to make Burnley debut
Posted Saturday, August 18, 2018 by PA
Matej Vydra will not be making his Burnley debut against Watford in the Premier League on Sunday.
The £11million signing is short of match fitness after a disrupted pre-season at Derby and is not yet considered ready for first-team action.
Sean Dyche will make several changes after Thursday’s Europa League win over Istanbul Basaksehir but Robbie Brady, Steven Defour, Nick Pope and Tom Heaton remain on the injured list.
Watford boss Javi Gracia has no fresh injury problems ahead of the match.
Winger Gerard Deulofeu continues his recovery from a minor abdominal problem, while midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah is close to a return after a knee problem.
Forward Stefano Okaka is expected to return to full training next week, while midfielder Tom Cleverley is working his way back to fitness after Achilles surgery.
