Exeter hopeful on Law fitness in bid to maintain perfect start against Newport

Exeter will aim to keep their 100 per cent start to the season going when they welcome League Two opponents Newport on Saturday.
Manager Matt Taylor saw Nicky Law limp off during the first half of last weekend’s victory at Morecambe, and he sat out the Carabao Cup win against Ipswich on Tuesday.
Taylor hopes that Law, who suffered a groin strain, will be fit to face the Welsh club as Exeter look to stay unbeaten.
Taylor handed first starts of the season to Matt Jay, Craig Woodman and Jordan Tillson against Ipswich, but Saturday’s line-up could be similar to the one that saw off Morecambe.
Newport manager Michael Flynn hopes to welcome back players from injury for the trip to Devon.
Buoyed by an impressive 4-1 Carabao Cup win at Cambridge on Tuesday, Flynn could now have Andrew Crofts, Robbie Willmott and David Pipe available to face the Grecians.
But Mark O’Brien, who has yet to feature in league or cup this season, again looks like missing out.
O’Brien was injured during a pre-season game against Hereford and could conceivably be in the selection frame when Newport face home games next week against Notts County and Grimsby.
