Millwall boss Harris set to return to regulars for visit of Lampard’s Derby

Millwall boss Neil Harris is expected to recall his regulars for the Sky Bet Championship showdown against Derby.

Harris made some 10 changes for the midweek Carabao Cup tie against Gillingham, which was won on penalties following a goalless draw.

Defender James Meredith was the only player to retain his place, with on-loan Bolton goalkeeper Ben Amos, Murray Wallace and Jiri Skalak all making a first start.

Byron Webster returned for a competitive appearance after almost a year out with a serious knee injury, but the defender is likely to have to make do with a place on the bench if involved for the league match.

Derby manager Frank Lampard must decide whether to keep faith with any of the players who came in for the 2-0 cup win at Oldham.

New signings Florian Jozefzoon, striker Jack Marriott, George Evans and Scott Malone were handed first starts, while 18-year-old Jayden Bogle played at right-back.

Tom Huddlestone, David Nugent and Curtis Davies all missed the Rams’ last two matches because of injury.

Midfielder Huddlestone (groin) and striker Nugent (foot) have resumed training and could come into contention for the meeting with Millwall, but captain Davies continues his recovery from a hamstring problem.
