Bury manager Ryan Lowe could make changes once again as he prepares for the Sky Bet League Two clash with Forest Green.
Lowe rested Chris Stokes, Neil Danns, Danny Mayor, Nicky Adams and Chris Dagnall for Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup first round defeat by Sky Bet Championship side Nottingham Forest.
Callum McFadzean, Jay O’Shea, Stephen Dawson, Gold Omotayo and Dom Telford all started against Forest.
Lowe will also be able to call upon Rangers midfielder Jamie Barjonas for the first time after he completed a loan move this week.
Forest Green manager Mark Cooper is also likely to ring the changes after making eight for Tuesday night’s cup win at Swindon.
Only Christian Doidge, Liam Shephard and Farrend Rawson kept their places following Saturday’s 1-1 league draw with Oldham.
Goalkeeper James Montgomery was handed a debut as he, Scott Laird, Haydn Hollis, Paul Digby, Theo Archibald, Lee Collins, Dayle Grubb and match-winner Tahvon Campbell were drafted into the starting line-up.
Rovers have enjoyed an unbeaten start to the season and head into the weekend sitting in fourth place in the table.
