Lincoln too strong for Swindon

Lincoln produced an impressive attacking display as they overcame Swindon 4-1 in Sky Bet League Two.
John Akinde’s penalty gave the Imps an early lead before Michael Bostwick made it 2-0.
Swindon were given a lifeline before the break through Michael Doughty’s penalty, but late goals from Harry Toffolo and Matt Green ensured Lincoln made it two wins out of two.
A lively start from City was rewarded with a goal after 10 minutes. Harry Anderson was bundled over by Keshi Anderson and Akinde produced the coolest of penalties.
The second goal arrived after 29 minutes. Bruno Andrade’s corner triggered a scramble before the ball was stabbed home by Bostwick.
Swindon fought back as half-time approached and pulled a goal back a minute before the interval. Matt Taylor’s drive struck Scott Wharton, who had little chance to take evasive action, but the referee adjudged it to be handball and Doughty scored from the spot.
Green made an impact after coming off the bench, first setting up Harry Toffolo to make it 3-1 after 79 minutes before firing home the fourth goal in the 83rd minute.
