Millar time for Morton
Posted Sunday, August 12, 2018 by PA
Chris Millar scored his first goals since returning to Morton as they won 2-0 at Alloa.
Millar – who has returned to the Ton after 10 years with St Johnstone – struck first in the 15th minute, hitting a low drive across goal after his run was found by Michael Tidser when Alloa failed to clear Charlie Telfer’s free-kick.
Further chances followed for Rory McKeown and Tidser but Alloa keeper Neil Parry denied them.
But with 10 minutes to go, there was nothing Parry could do about a 25-yard strike from Millar which flew into the top right-hand corner and secured Morton’s first win of the Scottish Championship season.
