Steve McClaren to select from same squad for first home game as QPR boss

Steve McClaren has no fresh injury concerns as he prepares for his first home match as QPR boss when Sheffield United visit Loftus Road.

Defender Darnell Furlong remains unavailable and no date has been set for his recovery from a long-term knee injury.

The prognosis over his fellow defender Grant Hall is more promising, however, after his comeback following seven months out with a knee issue was scheduled for next week.

“We have to make sure we perform at home and get results. This has always been a difficult place for opponents to come and we have to continue that,” McClaren said.

Sheffield United are without Wales midfielder Lee Evans after he was loaned to Wigan until January when the deal becomes permanent, despite being involved in both of the Blades’ games this season.

Midfielder Ricky Holmes has also been sent out on loan, joining Oxford United until the end of the season.

Kean Bryan is ready to make his debut having signed a three-year deal to join United from Manchester City.

Boss Chris Wilder could make changes after the Blades conceded two goals from corners in their 3-0 loss to Middlesbrough.
