Initial work was roundly criticised

Cristiano Ronaldo took all the headlines with his fantastic hat-trick against Spain on Friday, and back in his home city of Madeira the airport named after him already has a new bust of the iconic forward.
The first sculpture was widely criticised for the quality of the work and it has since been replaced at the request of Ronaldo's family.
When the sculptor had another go
Emanuel Santos was commissioned to produce the second sculpture, despite the issues with his first, and the new figure was finished in March and unveiled on Thursday.
Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport now sees the new sculpture take pride of place at the entrance of the terminal.
