Roberto Carlos: If Messi were Brazilian then he'd already have a World Cup

For many, Lionel Messi's legacy depends on whether or not he wins a World Cup with Argentina, but Roberto Carlos believes it's a team sport and that the forward has been unlucky.

The Brazilian, who won the tournament in 2002, has claimed that Messi would have won an edition of the World Cup already had he been playing for Brazil.

"If Messi were Brazilian then he'd already have a World Cup," the former Real Madrid player told TyC Sports.

He was also asked which players he'd have loved to play with and he named three current starts, Messi, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo.
