THIS is the amusing moment a giraffe tried to eat David Luiz’s hair.

The Chelsea star is currently on holiday in Dubai after missing out on Brazil’s World Cup squad.

But instead of feeling down in the dumps, Luiz has been making the most of his free time ahead of the new Premier League season.

Just yesterday the Stamford Bridge favourite was kissing a dolphin.

And today he has been interacting with more Middle Eastern animals.

Luiz posted a video on Instagram showing himself holding some plants in his mouth.

Two giraffes then close in and start eating the greenery – but not before one of them gets a mighty grip of Luiz’s hair, giving it a chomp.

The beast’s curious nature causes Luiz to jump away in fright, while people in the background can be heard laughing.

Luiz has also been enjoying other activities in Dubai, such as playing on a water jet pack.

He was then joined by former Arsenal man and now-Valencia star Gabriel Paulista as the pair took to the water on jet skis.

While Luiz and his family relaxed on a boat in blazing 39°C heat before the ace paid an emotional tribute to his mum.

However, Luiz’s future in West London remains uncertain after a reported fallout with Antonio Conte.

The Blues boss looks set to be axed by Roman Abramovich, with Maurizio Sarri and Laurent Blanc both tipped to take over.

Luiz has just one year remaining on his contract and may decide the time is right to move on if he is not guaranteed a place in the team next season, with Napoli said to be interested.
