Crewe conclude their campaign at home against Cheltenham – and they will check on the fitness of Chris Dagnall ahead of the match.
The experienced striker missed the win at Crawley due to illness so Shaun Miller was recalled.
James Jones’ recent hamstring problem will continue to be monitored. Alex boss David Artell will not take any risks with the midfielder given his injury problems this season, having only recently returned from a 10-month absence.
Charlie Kirk, Chris Porter and Eddie Nolan are among those players vying for recalls for Crewe, who can surpass last season’s points total of 55 with victory at Gresty Road on Saturday.
Cheltenham boss Gary Johnson saw his team beaten 6-1 by Coventry last weekend and he could make changes.
Jamie Grimes and Jordan Cranston are options in defence while teenage midfielder George Lloyd could also be in line for a recall.
Town captain Carl Winchester was one of a handful of players nursing an injury last weekend and Johnson would like him back to sure up the midfield.
Cheltenham will be hoping to avoid ending the captain with a fourth straight defeat.
