Joe Dunne could make changes for Port Vale clash

Cambridge boss Joe Dunne could choose to make changes for their final League Two game of the season and his first as permanent manager.

Dunne has been in caretaker charge since February and has been rewarded for a string of fine performances, but last weekend’s loss to Newport was not one of them.

Barry Corr came off the bench at half-time having been rested for last week’s trip to Morecambe, and he could start against Port Vale.

Billy Waters and Paul Lewis both returned to the starting line-up against County, with David Amoo and Harrison Dunk dropping to the bench, while youngsters Tom Knowles and Matt Foy could also be given a run-out.

Vale will be without Anthony Kay, who begins a three-match ban following his sending off against Carlisle last weekend.

Defender Kyle Howkins could miss out after being forced off during the first half of that match with a knee problem, with Callum Howe poised to deputise.

Manager Neil Aspin experimented with 4-4-2 against Carlisle but was disappointed with the performance and 2-1 defeat, so is likely to revert to five in midfield.

Dior Angus scored his first goal on his first senior start and will hope to keep his place.
