PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are ready to make a £100million move for Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen this summer.

The French champions have singled out the Danish international star as one of the men they want to rebuild their midfield for a successful Champions League campaign next summer under incoming coach Thomas Tuchel.

Eriksen, 26, has been an increasingly important player for Spurs for five years now and they are desperate to hang on to a player who has forged a formidable relationship with Harry Kane.

He has scored 14 goals this season and produced 10 assists in one of his best campaigns yet but once again the White Hart Lane club have missed out on major honours, though they look sure to finish in the top four.

Tuchel, the former Borussia Dortmund coach, is set to take over in Paris this summer after Unai Emery announced that he was leaving the Qatar-owned club at the end of this campaign, having won the title again, but losing to Real Madrid in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Eriksen has been rated as a player at the same level as title winning Manchester City duo Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva by his club manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The Dane joined Tottenham from Ajax in 2013 for a £12.5m fee.

He boasts over 160 league starts for the north London club and has taken on a prominent role in the side over the past two seasons.

Eriksen boasts 17 goals for club and country this season, with three crucial strikes in Denmark's World Cup qualifying campaign.

This summer's tournament in Russia could act as a shop window for some of the planet's biggest stars, with Eriksen tipped to catch the eye.

PSG landed Neymar in a £200m deal last summer and will pay Monaco roughly £150m to permanently sign loanee Kylian Mbappe in July.

However, the mega-rich club are still without that elusive Champions League honour and Eriksen has been earmarked as a target capable to helping them to that goal.
