Crewe continue improved form with victory at Crawley

Harry Pickering hit a second-half winner as Crewe clinched their third win in four games with a 2-1 victory at Crawley.
The results leaves Crawley with only one win in their last 11 matches, and they have failed to win any of their last six home matches.
Defender Perry Ng struck to give Crewe the lead after only five minutes by firing his fourth goal of the season into the roof of the net after a deflected shot from Jamie Sterry.
Crawley responded quickly to equalise four minutes later through recalled skipper Jimmy Smith, who nodded in his 10th of the campaign after Thomas Verheydt headed on a Lewis Young cross.
Much-travelled striker Jordan Bowery should have hit the target for Crewe when heading a Sterry cross wastefully over.
Bowery failed to make the most of a good opening before the Alex restored their lead six minutes after the break when midfielder Pickering shot confidently home after being set up by Bowery.
Crawley keeper Glenn Morris came to his side`s rescue shortly after by smothering a goal-bound shot from Callum Ainley.
Morris later dived to hold a low free-kick by Ng before Smith went close for Crawley by heading against the crossbar.
