Blackpool kept up their push for a top-half finish in Sky Bet League One by coming from behind to draw 1-1 with Shrewsbury.
The first opportunity fell to the Seasiders after 12 minutes as Armand Gnanduillet’s shot rebounded to Nathan Delfouneso, who miskicked his first effort before prodding well over from eight yards.
Shrewsbury already know they have secured third spot and they were ahead after 20 minutes when Sam Jones’ 20-yard strike beat Christoffer Mafoumbi, who got a hand to the ball but failed to keep it out.
Blackpool, who were looking to win five league games in a row for the first time since 2007, threatened to level in the 34th minute, but Craig MacGillivray saved from Colin Daniel.
Jimmy Ryan was denied by another super save from MacGillivray after 55 minutes.
But a minute later, Blackpool were level as Delfouneso nodded in from close range. The linesman initially ruled it out for offside, but the goal was given after consultation with the referee.
The Seasiders were the side pushing for a winner and came close after 68 minutes as Gnanduillet powered a header over from Ryan’s corner.
