Inverness keep alive play-off hopes with narrow victory at Livingston

Liam Polworth grabbed the only goal of the game at Livingston to keep Inverness’ play-off hopes alive heading into the final round of fixtures.
Polworth latched onto George Oakley’s pass less than 30 seconds into the second half and let rip with a fierce strike.
Livingston, already assured of the runners-up spot in the Scottish Championship and much changed as a result, could not get on the scoresheet despite a goal-line clearance from Carl Tremarco and a series of half-chances.
That meant three points in the bank for the visitors, who take on Morton at the weekend two points shy of Dunfermline in fourth.
