Nick Powell faces late fitness test as Wigan take on Oxford

Wigan have a fully-fit squad to select from against Oxford, though Nick Powell will be monitored again.

Powell was an injury doubt prior to Saturday’s goalless draw with Rotherham because of a thigh strain and he was replaced at half-time following a below-par 45 minutes.

Boss Paul Cook could make changes after that stalemate with the Millers and Gary Roberts, Ryan Colclough and James Vaughan will be among those hoping to come into the starting XI.

Wigan are currently top of the League One table due to their superior goal difference.

Oxford boss Karl Robinson has vowed to make “a lot of changes” from the side that beat Southend on Saturday.

Curtis Nelson could start against Latics after making his ahead-of-schedule return from the bench at the weekend following five months out with an Achilles injury.

Joe Rothwell (hamstring) will be assessed after he missed out against the Shrimpers.

Winger Rob Hall (knee) is unlikely to play again this season.
