Aston Villa vs Leeds United - John Terry to miss Aston Villa’s clash with Leeds

Promotion hopefuls Aston Villa will be without captain John Terry for Friday’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Leeds due to an ankle injury.
The 37-year-old centre-back missed Tuesday’s 1-0 victory against Cardiff with the problem he picked up in the defeat at Norwich last week and manager Steve Bruce has ruled out the former England international.
Iceland international Birkir Bjarnason is set to be available following his withdrawal from the starting line-up prior to kick-off in the Cardiff clash with back spasms.
Manchester United loanee Axel Tuanzebe is also out with an ankle problem while fellow defender Alan Hutton is unlikely to feature as he recovers from a hamstring injury.
Paul Heckingbottom remains with a depleted side for Leeds’ trip to Villa Park as the Whites search for their first win in four matches.
Centre-back Pontus Jansson has been ruled out of the clash with a head injury picked up in the 3-1 loss at Preston on Tuesday evening, adding to a growing casualty list, while Gaetano Berardi is suspended.
Academy product Paudie O’Connor is likely to keep his place in defence, with Pierre-Michel Lasogga, Ezgjan Alioski, Samuel Saiz all pushing for starts after dropping to the bench in midweek.
Luke Ayling (ankle), Liam Cooper (foot), Laurens De Bock (hamstring), Adam Forshaw (calf), Eunan O’Kane (groin), Matthew Pennington (calf), Tyler Roberts (shin), Conor Shaughnessy (ankle) all remain on the sidelines for Leeds.
