Barrow hold on for vital victory

Barrow gave themselves renewed hope of beating the drop with a 3-1 win at home to Eastleigh.
Ady Pennock’s men started with gusto and Asa Hall nodded in a corner from Lewis Walters to put them 1-0 up.
In the second half, Chris Zebroski equalised for the visitors when he coolly rounded goalkeeper Steve Arnold, but within seconds Barrow went back in front when Donovan Makoma smashed in past Graham Stack.
Walters seemingly secured victory late on, following up on the rebound after Nathan Waterston had hit the post.
But substitute Ben Williamson pulled one back for Eastleigh late on, and remarkably the Spitfires were denied by the woodwork three times in a harrowing finish for the hosts.
