Javier Hernandez refuses to rule out West Ham exit this summer
Hernandez joined West Ham from Bayer Leverkusen last summer for £16m but has scored just seven goals for the Premier League strugglers this term.
The 29-year-old was the Hammers’ first-choice striker under former boss Slaven Bilic but has struggled for game time under David Moyes, who replaced Bilic in November.
He’s started just five of Moyes’ 20 Premier League games in charge, mainly down to a hamstring injury and the goalscoring form of record signing Marko Arnautovic.
And the former Manchester United forward has refused to rule out leaving West Ham at the end of the campaign.
Javier Hernandez wants World Cup place with Mexico
"There has always been speculation as to whether I will stay or leave and I cannot guarantee anything,” he told Univision.
"I have two more years of contract with West Ham, and everything will come up.”
Hernandez also revealed how he wanted to leave the London Stadium in January in order to find first-team football.
He added: “You never know, because in the winter period I wanted to find my way out to have more minutes and could not.”
West Ham face a battle to remain in the Premier League this season as they sit just five points above the drop zone.
But the Mexican’s main focus is to earn a place at this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
On Mexico’s chances, he added: “A lot of people complain that it’s not realistic but people who don’t dream or aspire to more and more are maybe the ones that are confused.”
