JAMES MILNER poked fun at himself by hilariously mocking his parody account on Twitter.
The Liverpool star posted an image of himself measuring Easter eggs in an attempt to mimic the popular 'Boring James Milner' account.
James Milner apparently spent his Easter Sunday painstakingly measuring Mini Eggs
Milner's sensible and professional approach to the game has led some fans to label him as boring.
This resulted in one 'fan' creating the parody account in July 2013 - and it has since built up over 600,000 followers.
The Liverpool star, 32, only joined Twitter last week, but he is already proving to be a huge hit.
He shared the picture of himself measuring mini eggs with a tape measure, with the caption: "What Easter is all about... trying to find the perfect sized mini egg."
Milner retired from international football in 2016
One fan replied confessing his love for the ex-England star, while another said: "The real one is more boring than the actual parody."
Another follower posted: "I never thought, at the age of 30, I'd suddenly become a huge fan of James Milner."
The Boring James Milner account regularly updates followers with inane stories and pointless pictures.
After creating his account last Thursday, the real thing kicked off his Twitter career with a photograph of himself ironing.
The weather forecast said it was going to snow this week, and it was right because it definitely has been snowing this week.

Jürgen Klopp wants us to get an early night before the Derby tomorrow but he doesn't realise it's my birthday. I always spring clean my garage today.

I'm very happy that I got a hat-trick of assists tonight. I think i'll celebrate with three sugars in my cup of tea. One for each assist.

It was captioned: "#TBT to yesterday... when I wasn't on Twitter."
When Milner played for Manchester City in 2014, the club made a hilarious video of him opening incredibly dull Christmas presents.
The gifts included stationery, kitchen utensils, a shovel and a multi-pack of socks.
