Bayern Munich will pay James Rodriguez's 42m euros purchase option

James Rodriguez has impressed so far during his time at Bayern Munich and the Bavarian club's directors have already decided that they will pay the purchase option of 42 million euros which was included in the Colombian's two-year loan deal.

Real Madrid allowed the playmaker to move to Germany on a two-year loan last summer, for which Bayern were already committed to paying 13m euros.

Now they'll make the transfer permanent, meaning Real Madrid will have earned over 50m euros from the whole operation.

Bayern's decision is final and Real Madrid are already aware of their intention to pay the purchase option, even though the Bundesliga leaders could have waited another year before making this decision.

The player has also given the green light to the permanent move.

James has started to study German and he feels comfortable at the Allianz Arena, where he has scored five times and come up with 11 assists so far this season.

Although he had a stuttering start, he has thrived under Jupp Heynckes and both the player and the club want this relationship to continue.
