The Tottenham hot shot has been out injured since March 11 with damaged ankle ligaments.

But he could be ready for action just three weeks on.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino revealed he could be involved be will need tests up to the match.

"We need to assess him," said Pochettino.

"He's very positive and he is doing very well. Every day he is improving. It's difficult now to say or no before game. Maybe (he could play) next weekend.

"But the most important thing is that we are so positive about his recovery. We are so pleased because after Bournemouth everyone thought it would be a long time, but that is not the case."

Kane missed England duty and has been back in training, but would still only be ready for a place on the bench.

A win for Spurs would seem them move eight points clear of Chelsea in the race for the top four and almost guarantee their place in next season’s Champions Legaue.

But with the World Cup coming up - and with Tottenham still in the FA Cup - Pochettino will not want to gamble with his star man unless he’s ready to go.

"Chelsea is always a massive game as a London derby,' said Pochettino.

"To compare the game with Arsenal, it's similar. When you play this type of game there is pressure on both teams. To in at Chelsea would be fantastic for everyone.

"It will be a very tough game and they are always a tough team to compete with. But for us three points would put us in a very good position in the table."
