Leeds United vs Bolton Wanderers - Samuel Saiz set for Leeds return
Posted Thursday, March 29, 2018 by PA
Leeds will be boosted by the return to contention of midfielder Samuel Saiz for the home game against Bolton.
Saiz is nursing a hamstring problem and missed the recent home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, but is expected to feature on Friday for Paul Heckingbottom’s side.
Centre-back Liam Cooper (dead leg) and goalkeeper Andy Lonergan (neck) are also back in the frame after returning to full training this week.
Winger Stuart Dallas is doubtful after missing Northern Ireland’s win against South Korea last weekend due to a hip injury, while Kemar Roofe (calf), Luke Ayling and Conor Shaughnessy (both ankle) are still out.
Bolton midfielder Darren Pratley will be monitored after being forced out of the home win against Aston Villa with a leg injury.
Fellow midfielder Jan Kirchhoff is back in contention after missing that match with a minor hamstring problem and will be vying with Josh Vela for a start if Pratley misses out.
On-loan Everton defender Antonee Robinson, an unused substitute for the United States in their win against Paraguay, and Aaron Wilbraham are pushing for recalls to the starting line-up.
But boss Phil Parkinson is expected to keep changes to a minimum after his side have lost just one of their last six matches.
