Tom Bayliss is expected to be available for Coventry’s home clash with Grimsby.
The 18-year-old scored in the closing stages of the first half at Crewe last weekend but was substituted as a precaution with a tight calf.
Peter Vincenti will look to continue his fine form of the last two matches having previously only started once in 2018.
Jordan Maguire-Drew has returned to parent club Brighton after complications with an appendix operation, while Tom Davies (collarbone) and Jodi Jones (knee) remain out.
Grimsby will be boosted by Mallik Wilks’ recovery from a hamstring injury.
Forward Wilks scored a brace on his return for the reserves against Doncaster in midweek.
Recent signing Gary McSheffrey could feature against one of his former clubs but Luke Summerfield, Karleigh Osborne and Simeon Jackson are still out.
Mitch Rose and Andrew Fox are expected to overcome knocks.
