Joe Thomson’s 75th minute goal saw Queen of the South secure a 3-2 away win over fellow promotion hopefuls Dundee United despite blowing a 2-0 half-time lead.
On-loan Celtic midfielder Thomson opened the scoring for Queen of the South after 21 minutes and it was 2-0 four minutes before the break.
Kyle Jacobs got the second from the penalty spot following a foul by Mark Durnan after his own under-hit back pass.
Durnan would make amends shortly before the hour mark as he got the hosts back into it, firing home from close range after a goalmouth scramble.
Scott McDonald’s free-kick drew United level in the 68th minute but Thomson scored what proved to be the winner 15 minutes from time with a fine strike.
