Dimitris Froxylias inspires Dumbarton to victory over Brechin

Dimitris Froxylias was the star of the show with three assists from corners as Dumbarton ran out 3-1 winners at rock-bottom Brechin to boost their survival hopes.
Calum Gallagher was the first to turn home one of Froxylias’ deliveries in the 10th minute before Sean Crighton inadvertently sent another into his own net in the 23rd minute.
A fine curling free-kick from Craig Storie saw Brechin get themselves back into it in the 38th minute, but just before the break yet another Froxylias corner caused chaos and Danny Handling was able to bundle it home.
Dumbarton might have had a fourth in the second half when Andrew Stirling rounded the goalkeeper and pulled it back, but Stuart Carswell could not finish.
