Matt Taylor insists Swindon will bounce back

Swindon interim manager Matt Taylor insisted his side would pick themselves up again after suffering a 3-0 defeat to Cheltenham in his first game in charge.
Jake Andrews’ stunning free-kick and a brace from top scorer Mohamed Eisa ensured Cheltenham left the County Ground with all three points, and Taylor said afterwards that the whole team were down in the dressing room.
“We started the game well and had a game plan, but that went to pot and we started playing as individuals,” he said.
“When you do that you are not going to be successful.
“The dressing room is very disappointed. We had an honest conversation after the match and now we move onto the next game.”
Cheltenham assistant manager Russell Milton said after the game: “It was the complete performance. Three goals, a clean sheet and the players all looked really confident out on the pitch.
“We have got some players here that can play above this level and again they showed glimpses of that.
“It was a shaky start but after that we got going and played some great football. We just need to get them to play like they did today more often.
“Sometimes you don’t want half-time to come around, and we stressed to keep the momentum with us in the second half and we did just that.
“Small steps but three good performances recently against three good sides and we have shown what we are capable of.”
