Arsenal ace Mesut Ozil is wanted by Man Utd this summer

The Germany international was pictured throwing his gloves to the ground yesterday as the Gunners slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Brighton.

And that has seen odds slashed on Ozil making a switch to Old Trafford and reuniting with Jose Mourinho.

BetStars Director of Trading Ian Marmion explained: "Mesut Ozil let his frustration slip during Arsenal's defeat to Brighton this weekend, throwing his gloves to the ground as the Seagulls scored their second goal of the game.

"Odds have now been slashed on the German midfielder joining a Premier League rival.

"Following his outburst on Sunday, Ozil is now priced at 3/1 to join Manchester United, having been as long as 7/1 previously.

"Barcelona are also in the running for Ozil and are the second favourites to sign the Arsenal playmaker, with the Catalan side priced at 4/1 to be Ozil's next club.

"The 29-year-old would be a useful addition to the Barca side, where he would be a facilitator for Lionel Messi and co.

"Man City are also vying for Ozil's signature but are priced at a lengthier 7/1 and look likely to miss out to their Manchester rivals.

"Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan round up the market at 10/1 apiece to be Ozil's next club."

Ozil has struggled to make an impact at the Emirates this season, netting four times and providing seven assists in 24 Premier League matches.

Arsenal are way down the table in sixth, a whopping 33 points behind leaders Manchester City.

Next up for the Gunners is a Europa League last 16 first leg clash with AC Milan on Thursday evening (6pm).

After that Arsene Wenger's side host Watford in the top flight.
