Tom Flanagan is fit for Burton’s Sky Bet Championship game against Brentford after recovering from a calf injury.
The defender returns to boost Nigel Clough’s options at the back after a month on the sidelines, but John Brayford and Ben Turner (both calf) remain absent.
Forward Marvin Sordell is available after shaking off illness and a sore toe, but Hope Akpan is doubtful after twisting his ankle in training.
Midfielder Luke Murphy returns to the squad after missing the last month with a gashed shin picked up in the defeat at Aston Villa.
Brentford are expected to welcome back midfielder Nico Yennaris for the trip to the Pirelli Stadium.
Yennaris missed the win at Sunderland due to personal reasons and played no part in last week’s games against Birmingham and Leeds due to illness, but has returned to the squad.
Sergi Canos is pressing for a start after returning as a substitute in the defeat at Leeds having served a three-match ban.
Lewis Macleod has returned to full training following injury and Josh McEachran is available after recovering from a blow to the ribs, but Rico Henry (knee) is still out.
