Livingston consolidated second place in the Ladbrokes Championship as they extended their unbeaten run to seven games with a 1-0 win at Morton at Cappielow.
The defeat sees Morton lose ground in third and brought an end to their own seven-match unbeaten run.
Livingston thought they had taken a seventh-minute lead when goalkeeper Derek Gaston pushed Rafa De Vita’s corner into his own net but the goal was disallowed for a foul by Lee Miller on Gaston.
Morton came close to breaking the deadlock in the 28th minute when John Baird slipped in Mark Russell but his shot brushed the outside of the post.
The winner came two minutes after the break when Nicky Cadden rifled a shot into the top corner of the net from 25 yards.
