Mitch Pinnock’s first-half overhead kick inspired Dover to a 1-0 victory over Dagenham & Redbridge.
Dagenham started brightly, forcing home goalkeeper Mitch Walker into a smart save in the first minute after Charlee Adams let fly from range.
Dover defender Giancarlo Gallifuoco put the ball in the back of the net after 12 minutes but it was ruled out for a foul on Dagenham shot-stopper Mark Cousins.
The hosts broke the deadlock in the 29th minute when Pinnock’s overhead kick flew past Cousins and into the net.
Dover created chances to double their lead in the second half, with Ryan Bird and Connor Essam both coming close, while Dagenham had an effort cleared off the line with nine minutes to play.
