Carlisle fight back to see off Barnet

Carlisle came from a goal behind to beat Barnet 3-1 in Sky Bet League Two on Tuesday.

After creating plenty of chances, the home side took the lead through Ricardo Almeida Santos, who headed in from Ryan Watson’s corner.

John Akinde blazed a penalty over the crossbar on the hour mark and he was left to rue that miss as the Blues hit back to claim all three points.

Carlisle manager Keith Curle made a triple substitution shortly after his side went behind and two of the players that he brought on scored.

In the 70th minute Ashley Nadesan lobbed Craig Ross after the Barnet goalkeeper came out to clear a loose ball but was left stranded as the striker reached the ball before him.

In the 82nd minute, Hallam Hope played the ball across the face of goal to Richie Bennett who finished from close range.

Nadesan extended the Cumbrians’ lead in the 87th minute as he flicked on Jamie Devitt’s free-kick to round off the win.
