Blackburn went top of League One for the first time this season following a battling 2-0 win over Bury.
After a frustrating opening half, Rovers showed their class in the second thanks to Danny Graham’s 13th goal of the season and a fourth in three games for Adam Armstrong.
Bury showed plenty of fight, but the league’s lowest scorers were reduced to long range efforts.
In the first half Graham forced Connor Ripley into a save with his legs from close range, but Rovers stepped it up after the break, with Derrick Williams heading wide when he should have scored.
The hosts broke the deadlock in the 51st minute when Bradley Dack’s pinpoint cross was emphatically headed home by Graham from eight yards.
Armstrong doubled the lead in the 67th minute when a superb Darragh Lenihan cross caused havoc and Shakers defender Nathan Cameron’s error gave the on-loan forward a tap-in.
Jack Payne almost added a third with a powerful drive but Ripley parried as Rovers ran out easy winners.
