Jennings goal takes Tranmere up to second

Tranmere moved second in the Vanarama National League as Connor Jennings’ goal downed Bromley at Prenton Park.
Jennings was gifted the goal in the 36th minute, slotting in after a dreadful mix-up between defender Ben Chorley and goalkeeper David Gregory.
James Norwood and Ollie Norburn squandered good chances for a second early in the second half and Tranmere had a late let-off.
Louis Dennis saw his shot parried by Scott Davies but the ball fell to Josh Rees, who should have scored but could only spoon the ball over the bar as Rovers hung on to extend their unbeaten home run to 11 games.
