Exeter hoping for fitness boost ahead of Mansfield clash

Exeter are hoping to welcome some players back from injury for their Sky Bet League Two clash with Mansfield.

The Grecians’ trip to Port Vale on Tuesday was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch and this may have worked in their favour as they come to terms with an injury crisis.

Jordan Storey (facial wound) and Pierce Sweeney (groin) are doubtful because of the knocks sustained against Wycombe.

Jordan Moore-Taylor, Luke Croll and Troy Brown remain in the treatment room, however, and will not be available.

Mansfield have no fresh injury problems as they look to cement their place in the play-off positions.

Defender David Mirfin is the only missing player as he continues his recovery from the knee surgery that has kept him sidelined since early December.

Mansfield thrashed Newport 5-0 in midweek, but boss Steve Evans is still planning to shuffle his pack.

“We’ll change things because we’re playing a different type of opposition and it will demand a different type of player for us,” Evans said.
