Alex Gilbey out and Chuks Aneke to be assessed for MK Dons

MK Dons will be without Alex Gilbey for the visit of Charlton after the midfielder was ruled out for the rest of the season following knee surgery.

Gilbey required an operation this week as scans revealed the full extent of the damage suffered in the defeat at Walsall earlier this month.

Chuks Aneke sustained a hamstring problem in the midweek defeat by Oldham on his return from a three-match ban, so will be assessed.

Midfielder Peter Pawlett (groin) is another to be monitored by new MK Dons boss Dan Micciche, whose side have lost all four of his games in charge.

Charlton are unlikely to risk defender Jason Pearce following his return from a knee ligament injury.

Midfielder Ben Reeves missed the midweek draw with Bradford for personal reasons, but is expected to be involved against his former club.

On-loan striker Stephy Mavididi has returned to Arsenal for treatment on a hamstring problem and is expected to be out for up to eight weeks.

Defenders Naby Sarr (hamstring) and Lewis Page (Achilles) are both stepping up their rehabilitation, while forward Billy Clarke (knee) remains a long-term absentee.
