Joe Edwards scored twice in two first-half minutes to set Walsall on the way to a 4-2 victory over out-of-form Doncaster.
Walsall went ahead in the 22nd minutes when Nicky Devlin’s cross was met by a looping Edwards header from 10 yards that found the top corner.
Edwards doubled the advantage two minutes later, running on to Justin Shaibu’s pull-back and stroking low into the bottom corner from just inside the box.
It was game over in first-half stoppage-time as Kieron Morris pounced on hesitant Doncaster defending to lash a fine strike across keeper Ian Lawlor.
Walsall made it 4-0 in the 71st minute as substitute Amadou Bakayoko beat the onrushing Lawlor to poke home Erhun Oztumer’s through ball from the edge of the box.
Doncaster pulled one back in the 87th minute as captain Tommy Rowe drove into the area before drilling between the legs of Walsall keeper Liam Roberts.
Rovers added a second in stoppage time when Niall Mason scored from the spot after a Devlin push on Andy Boyle, but they are now without a win in eight league games.
