Bury vs Southend United - Ryan Lowe may shake things up in defence for Southend visit
Posted Tuesday, February 13, 2018 by PA
Bury boss Ryan Lowe may replace Nathan Cameron with Adam Thompson in his defence against Southend.
Cameron was drafted into the Shakers’ side for Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Bradford but has not played two games in four days all season due to a long-standing knee issue.
Thompson was the only player to drop out of Lowe’s team from the side that beat AFC Wimbledon.
Bury remain without long-term absentees Craig Jones (thigh), Jermaine Beckford (knee) and Eoghan O’Connell (ruptured ligaments).
Southend manager Chris Powell has no fresh injury concerns ahead of his side’s trip to.
Powell, whose side have won their last three matches, will be looking to build on an impressive 3-1 victory against table-toppers Wigan on Saturday.
Defender John White (ankle) remains absent, while Sam Mantom, on loan from Scunthorpe until the end of the season, is working his way back to full fitness after an ankle problem.
Midfielders Anthony Wordsworth (calf) and Josh Wright (hamstring) continue their rehabilitation, along with centre-back Rob Kiernan (knee).
