Derby midfielder Bradley Johnson will be keen to make his return from injury against his former club Norwich.
The 30-year-old, who swapped the Canaries for the Rams in 2015, has resumed training after missing the last five games with a back problem.
On-loan striker Sam Winnall suffered a knee injury during last weekend’s home win against Brentford and looks set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Kelle Roos will continue to be the back-up goalkeeper on the bench with Jonathan Mitchell still recovering from a fractured finger.
Norwich have been dealt a blow with the news midfielder Tom Trybull is set for around 10 weeks out after suffering ankle and knee ligament damage in the win over Middlesbrough.
Midfielder James Maddison has shaken off a dead leg, while captain Ivo Pinto should also travel, the full-back having missed the last two matches after injuring himself when getting out of his car.
On-loan Tottenham midfielder Marcus Edwards (back) may also be in contention for a belated debut.
Winger Matt Jarvis is stepping up his rehabilitation from a long-term ankle problem, but midfielder Louis Thompson (Achilles) remains sidelined.
