Versatile Frenchman Moimbe arrived on a free transfer from Nantes on transfer-deadline day.
Eoin Doyle has returned to the Latics on loan from Preston but a blood clot means he is unavailable until next month, while fellow striker Duckens Nazon may make his first start after coming on as a substitute last weekend following his temporary switch from Wolves.
Defender George Edmundson is available again following a one-match ban but midfielder Ousmane Fane (groin) is doubtful, and Rob Hunt (hamstring) is unlikely to return.
Bradford’s new signing Ryan McGowan is expected to be included in their squad after international clearance.
The Australia international defender was signed last week from United Arab Emirates side Al-Sharjah, but not in time for the home defeat to AFC Wimbledon.
Stephen Warnock is hoping to make his first appearance after he was an unused substitute and fellow recent recruits Matty Lund and Kai Bruenker, who both stepped off the bench, could make their first starts.
Right-back Tony McMahon is closing in on his return from injury, winger Alex Gilliead is hoping to shake off a hamstring injury, but left-back Tyrell Robinson remains doubtful.
