Liverpool yet to make contact with Roma to sign goalkeeper Alisson

The representative of Alisson has quashed any rumours linking the Roma goalkeeper with a move to Liverpool, revealing that he's not been contacted by the Premier League club.

Alisson, who is presently Brazil's first-choice between the sticks, joined the Serie A giants from boyhood-side Internacional in the summer of 2016 and has assimilated smoothly into life in Italy.

Meanwhile much has been made of Liverpool's goalkeeping situation, with both Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius coming under heavy criticism. However, according to Alisson's agent Ze Maria, his client is happy in the Italian capital.

"For now, I haven't been contacted by anyone," he told Pagine Romaniste, via Football Italia.

"New contract? Not yet, but he still has three-and-a-half years left on his current deal. We're not in a hurry. Alisson is very happy at Roma."

So far this season both Alisson and Mignolet have featured across 19 league matches with Karius, the Reds second-choice shot-stopper, making only three outings.

However, when it comes to clean sheets per 90 minutes, it's the German 'keeper that comes out on top averaging 0.67 with Alisson second best (0.47). Karius also leads the way in terms of goals conceded per 90 minutes (0.33) which is significantly better than what Mignolet is so far managing (1.26).

An illustration of Roma's defending this season is best displayed when Alisson beats the Liverpool duo regarding saves per 90 minutes (2.53); though, and more impressive, he's producing 3.43 saves per goal, which is more than double of Mignolet's efforts (1.21).
