Leicester star Jamie Vardy admits he may struggle to reach 100 Premier League goals
Leicester star Jamie Vardy has scored 50 Premier League goals

The England striker has his sights on Watford today after bagging his 50th in the 2-2 draw with Manchester United on Saturday.

That's bad news for a Hornets side who have slumped to five defeats and managed just one draw in their last six league games.

Vardy will do everything in his powers to join the elite centurions but knows time might not be on his side.

His half-century has taken over three years after he scored his first top flight goal in September 2014 against United.

Vardy said: "Can I do it? Who knows? I am 31 next month. I will take each game as it comes.

"I'm hoping the goals will continue to flow and if they do, then it could happen.

"I am going to try and score as many as possible. The 50 has happened and it is now time to kick on and hope a lot more come."

Vardy knows he needs to keep up his scoring form to book a ticket on England's World Cup plane to Russia.

He added: "Obviously I know no player is guaranteed a spot and it is all down to form for your club to even be within a chance of getting selected.

"First and foremost it is concentrate on Leicester and like I said hopefully the goals will keep flowing and that will put me in good stead."

Watford defender Sebastian Prodl admits Watford got drawn into a comfort zone and are now in danger of being dragged into a relegation scrap.

Prodl warns his team-mates must turn things around quickly if they are to revive the early season feel-good factor at Vicarage Road.

The Austrian defender said: "We are on a bad run. Maybe we were dreaming too much, we were too comfortable in our situation, too comfortable in the table.

"Maybe too confident when we went into these games. These last few games and results, we dreamed of something else. We didn't deliver.

"We just have to make sure we are 100 per cent again because we could face some trouble. We have to be alert. Relegation is not a topic at the moment and we need to make sure it doesn't become one."
