Christian Pulisic has interest from Liverpool ahead of January transfer window

Despite only being 19 years of age, Christian Pulisic already seems to have the world at his feet.

The American is one of the hottest properties in Europe, already making 54 appearances in the Bundesliga for Borussia Dortmund, scoring eight times.

2017 was the year he really made his mark on the international stage, even though his country historically failed to qualify for the World Cup.

Pulisic was named USA's player of the year, and scored six times in nine games for them, though a shock 2-1 defeat to Trinidad & Tobago meant Panama and Honduras knocked them out.

He is now beginning to carry that form into his domestic football, having already matched the three goals he managed last term.

Liverpool were heavily linked with Pulisic last summer, but the move didn't materialise because Dortmund held out their £35m asking price.

However, the American could make a move to the Premier League in the near future, with interest beginning to garner following his good form.

And Pulisic could be appearing in the colours of Liverpool's arch-rivals if they get their way.

According to the Mail, Manchester United have been keeping tabs on the teenager, as Jose Mourinho wants to add creativity to his side.

Pulisic's former Dortmund team-mate Henrikh Mkhitaryan looks to be on his way out at Old Trafford, having failed to even make the squad in recent league games.

Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard have all failed to deliver consistently for United, and the potential of the American could convince Mourinho to make the move.

The Red Devils would face competition for Pulisic's signature though, with Bayern Munich also rumoured to be interested in securing his services.

Dortmund would be able to demand a much heftier fee than the £35m they asked Liverpool for, thanks to the inflation on the market caused mainly by PSG's moves for Neymar and Kylian Mbappé.

With United's desperation growing in the title race, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that Pulisic could be lining up at Old Trafford next month.
