Derby will be without Tom Lawrence for Saturday's Sky Bet Championship clash at home to Aston Villa.
The Wales international is missing with an ankle problem suffered in last weekend's 3-0 win at Barnsley.
Rams boss Gary Rowett believes Lawrence could be back in action before Christmas with the injury less severe than first feared.
Johnny Russell and Sam Winnall will both be in contention to replace Lawrence having been named on the bench last time out.
Aston Villa defender Chris Samba has been ruled out for a month with a hamstring injury.
But John Terry could return in the next two weeks after making a good recovery from a broken foot.
Scott Hogan is pushing for a return after a month on the sidelines with a stomach problem and he has trained this week.
Jonathan Kodjia (ankle) is a long-term absentee and Alan Hutton and Henri Lansbury will both miss out but Gabby Agbonlahor (calf) is almost fit while Mile Jedinak (shoulder) is available.
