Arsene Wenger gave his squad a break before Thursday's Europa League tie against BATE Borisov to spread cheer to those suffering this Christmas.

The likes of Sanchez, captain Per Mertesacker, Granit Xhaka, Nacho Monreal, Sead Kolasinac and Arsenal Women's duo Alex Scott and Heather O'Reilly attended Whittington Hospital.

While Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott, Laurent Koscielny, Olivier Giroud and Hector Bellerin visited patients at the Teenage Cancer Trust Unit at the University College Hospital.

The players looked overjoyed as they battled against patients and members of staff in games of pool, Connect Four and table football.

Even club mascot Gunnersaurus got involved as Arsenal took the time to giveback to the community.

And the players will be looking to keep a smile on their face when they welcome the Belarusian giants to the Emirates.

Wenger is likely to start a completely different side to the team that lost 3-1 to Manchester United at home last Saturday.

The North London club will be looking to get back to winning ways prior to Sunday's clash with Southampton at St Mary's.
